RFQ

Worm and worm gears can be made in a variety of diametrical pitches, modules and pressure angles.
Sprockets can be manufactured in tooth forms in English or Metric measurements.
Fine to heavy diametrical pitch tooth forms can be manufactured in lengths up to 8 feet.
Dayton Gear has broaching machines with capacity up to and including 100 ton pulling pressure and 72 inch maximum length of broach.
Dayton Gear’s extensive tooling inventory allows for the manufacture of any combination of helical gears in both English and Metric dimensions.
Gearbox restoration is the cost effective alternative to equipment replacement.

PULP & PAPER

Problem: Pre-mature failure of spur gear set. New gears purchased from original equipment manufacturer were failing within three months.

Customer Objective: Purchase gear set that will exceed three month service life.

Dayton Gear Solution: Dayton Gear engineering professionals designed a new gear set with a different diametrical pitch and with adjustment capability. Hardness of alloy steel material was also increased. The result was that service life has been extended for over two years. Total year to date cost savings of over $100,000.00.
